RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), is the technology that lets you simply wave your credit card, passport or licence in front of a nearby scanner instead of having to slide the magnetic strip through it. It's a fairly simple concept. The electronic scanner sends a signal that is received by an antenna embedded into the card, which is connected to the card's RFID chip, thus activating it.

The data is stored on tiny little chips called RFID chips. These can be put into credit cards and other IDs like Biometric Passports, ID Cards, Oyster Cards and read at a distance in order to make your life more convenient.

The idea of our RFID products is that they contain a protective layer that should block the RFID signals thus preventing identity thieves from scanning or 'skimming' your cards etc and stealing the information.
